Atlas Cinema

A neighbourhood cinema with a long history and the red seats to prove it. Atlas Cinema opened in 1939 at the edge of Karlín, a short walk from Florenc, and has kept the character of a classic picture house through every change in how films are shown.

For Composers Summit Prague it is the home of the postproduction sessions: a cinema hall with a real screen and a real sound system, where a score is heard the way an audience hears it and taken apart on the spot, with picture, dialogue and music together as they meet in the final mix.
